CAMELOT REMEMBERED--I was an 18 year old freshman lying on the sofa of my parents home on
Bancroft Street in San Diego, CA. It was
Friday morning, November 22, 1963 and I was studying for an SDSU history exam later
in the afternoon, when my mom came in from the kitchen in tears. She had been listening to the radio. “They shot the President.” I’ll always remember her words, especially “they.”
