Friday Beer Fest at Petco

Come out to Petco Park on Friday, September 6th before the Padres host the Rockies for the second Padres BeerFest of 2013. BeerFest will feature craft brews from local and national breweries showcased at Park at the Park. First pour is at 5 p.m. The event is free with a game ticket. Each beer costs $5 in Friar Funds which can be purchased in advance at the Box Office or at the event.

Saturday Charity Beer Fest

Green Flash’s annual Treasure Chest Rare Beer Event is on Saturday, September 7th from noon to 4 pm.  Through Treasure Chest, Green Flash has raised over 50K for the local chapter of Komen for the Cure San Diego and other breast cancer charities.   This year the fest will be held in and around the brewery, tasting room and beer garden giving all festival goers a 'behind the scenes' Green Flash experience, 6550 Mira Mesa Blvd., 858-622-0085, www.greenflashbrew.com

Sunday California Fig Fest 2013

Trek to Barrio Logan to enjoy delectable tastings from more than 40 amazing chefs, food purveyors, wine makers and breweries when California Fig Fest 2013 comes to San Diego to celebrates its 10th annual celebration of fresh and dried California figs.  Join the festivities at the new San Diego Public Market (1735 National Avenue)
