Image: Huffington Post

Getting a fabulous craft beer passed your lips just got easier. The American Homebrewers Association (AHA) recently released Brew Guru™ (aka the Pokémon GO for catching great beer deals). The new free mobile app delivers brewing knowledge, money-saving deals and local information on breweries, bars and homebrew supply shops.

“With Brew Guru, we’re helping beer lovers and amateur brewers do beer better. Users’ palates and wallets will benefit greatly from the app,” said Gary Glass, director, American Homebrewers Association. “Brew Guru allows you to get more beer while spending less money, wherever you’re located. What’s better than that?”

The app’s menu options include:

Locator: Thirsty? Hungry? In need of supplies? Use the handy locator to find nearby breweries, pubs and brewing supplies, as well as money-saving AHA Member Deals participants.
Dashboard: Get a glimpse of the freshest content from the AHA and the closest deals from participating breweries, pubs and homebrew supply shops.
Collections: Improve your brew IQ with handpicked recipes and resources from Zymurgy magazine and the AHA on themes ranging from Belgian ales to bottling to brewing in a bag.
My Account: See how many Member Deals youve redeemed and Collections youve completed; view your digital membership card; renew your membership; manage your Brew Guru settings.

Brew Guru—which is available free in the App Store and Google Play—offers those who are not members of the AHA a free, no-obligation 15-day trial to sample the benefits of membership via the app and in the real world. Users can also join the AHA anytime via the app or by visiting HomebrewersAssociation.org. Membership is not required to use the app.
