SUNDAY REVIEW / FIGHTING THE HEARTBREAK OF PERSONAL SCAMS

Frank Abagnale is AARP’s fraud watch network ambassador. For the past 40 years he’s been a good guy fighting rip-offs.  But many of us remember the movie “Catch Me If You Can” where actor Leonardo DiCaprio portrayed Frank Abagnale as a legendary con artist.

Frank as a teen boldly duped the world as an airline pilot and a doctor until he was caught and eventually sent to prison.

The FBI soon hired Frank as a consultant to teach agents how to better spot fraud and scams.  Recently he penned new book “Scam Me If You Can” and on the cover he adds “Not a Chance!”

Published by Random House, the new watch dog book focuses on three major scams and how to defeat them:
         --Imposter Fraud;
         --Dating Danger; and
         --Identity Theft.

The book is available wherever books are sold.
