THE FOODIST / YEAR OLD SHAWARMA FOOD TRUCK A BIG HIT.

Pam Kragen landed a page one story in the San Diego Union Tribune on chef/owner Bryan Zeto’s Shawarma Guys food truck that’s parked in San Diego’s South Park neighborhood.

Wagyu Shawarma Philly
Cheesesteak—San Diego style.
The hook of the story is Zeto’s operation is a success so far and his culinary talent and public support landed Shawarma Guys a No. 1 ranking in Yelp.com’s 7th annual “Top 100 Places to Eat in the U.S. for 2020.”

Was it a slow news day or is Zeto’s operation really that good?

A bit of both.  Kragen’s article is well done.  She explains the deliciousness of Shawarma and all its nuances including a background on the personable foodie trucker and outlines how he drove Shawarma Guys into a South Park hit.
