Saturday, February 8 | Carnival of Caffeination: Modern Times Beer puts on stellar beer
fests by leaning on the collective radness of their nationwide network of
brewery friends. For this fete, they dip into the coffee-roaster portion of
their rolodex to present scads of rare and delicious java and dark beers.
Hinting at what to expect, this year’s event is dubbed “Pastry Palooza”! |
Modern Times Beer, 3725 Greenwood Street, Lomaland, 12-4 p.m.
Saturday, February 8 | Brewbies Festival: One great brewery giving its all is terrific on its own, but one great cause bringing numerous great breweries together to give their all for charity—including one-and-done beers that may never be poured anywhere else—is even better. Such is the case with this epic beer festival benefitting the Keep A Breast Foundation. | Bagby Beer Co., 601 South Coast Highway, Oceanside, VIP: 12-5 p.m., General Admission: 1-5 p.m..

Saturday, February 15 | Anniversaries: Kilowatt Brewing’s artsy,
psychedelic lair in OB will celebrate three years by releasing beers (all weekend),
while Resident Brewing’s four-year will feature both a bottle and can release,
and Rip Current Brewing’s dual-location seven-year celebration will mark the
return of barrel-aged Vanilla Storm, Lupulin Hazed, and Caught in a Rip IIIPA.
| Kilowatt Brewing, 1875 Cable Street, Ocean Beach, 12 a.m.-12 p.m.; Resident
Brewing, 1065 Fourth Avenue, Downtown, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.; Rip Current Brewing,

Saturday, February 22 | More Anniversaries: 13 Point Brewing will see out
its first year with live music, a new beer release, and raffles. Culture
Brewing will employ raffles, tasters, and commemorative tote bags for lucky
year seven, and unlucky 13 will be anything but for PB’s venerable SD TapRoom
as they kick off two days of beer-festing featuring over 100 beers, including
PtY. | 13 Point Brewing, 8035 Broadway, Lemon Grove, 12-6 p.m.; Culture
Brewing, 111 South Cedros Avenue, Suite 200, Solana Beach, 12-10 p.m.; SD
TapRoom, 1269 Garnet Avenue, Pacific Beach, 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
Saturday, February 29 | Yet Another Anniversary: Just one this weekend, but
it’s four years in the making. Burning Beard Brewing opened its doors on Leap
Day of 2016, and are excited to shirk anachronism with a grand-scale party that
will include a bar stocked with house wild ales, plus take-home bottles of The
Beard’s barrel-aged English barleywine, Orgone Accumulator. | Burning Beard
Brewing, 785 Vernon Way, El Cajon, 2-8 p.m.
