You have to look way up toward the ceiling above and behind the barista counter to see a motto placed on the wall: “Not a product of industry, but Artisanship.”
That's the vibe here.
This button down island operation called Off the Tracks Espresso & Bistro is located on Granville Island, amid an eclectic warren of shops and marinas on the West side of Vancouver, British Columbia.
Finding a perch on a small mezzanine above the barista and below the afore mentioned motto, the view from that perch was so entertaining that we didn’t open our computers. How about that we had a conversation instead and thoroughly enjoyed our fair priced mid-morning fare?
