PARTY INVITE—There’s a sense of satisfaction knowing that a long neglected corner of the neighborhood has been turned into an asset.  For example, the Northwest corner of 32^nd and Thorn in North Park’s Altadena neighborhood has taken on a fresh new look this past year.

To celebrate the turnaround, one of the businesses, North Park Nursery is celebrating its first year in business with an old-fashioned community fun fest.   Sharing what decades ago was a gasoline station, three businesses now call the lot home: NPN, Ripe North Park, an organic market and deli, plus Hell in a Handbag, a creative gift boutique.

In a few months, Thorn Street Brewery will open next door to North Park Nursery.  It’s a small intersection with growing personality.  Come by the party and see what we mean.

First Anniversary Event sponsored by North Park Nursery By Mooch will be held, Saturday, Oct. 13 from 3 to 6 pm at 32^nd & Thorn Sts.  The owners promise food, drinks, music and prizes.
