By Holden DeMayo, Coffee Editor, PillartoPost.org--Finally, a coffee house with plenty of parking for quick in and out service. Not yet a year old, The Coffee Drop at 30th and Broadway, is a small nugget with that extra ingredient (plenty of parking) that should ensure this Golden Hill emporium will be around for a while.
Too small to bring your computer in for a day-long perch, but there is a collection of seats and tables outside on the patio, where you can sip and soak: coffee and San Diego’s sunny climate.
Owners Evan and Marissa are Golden Hill locals. They started their business with a drop shaped trailer and recently moved on to a walk in shop. Evan says “our first date was at a coffee shop, and we are happily married a decade later. Our goal is to bring people together, give back to the community, and share our love for specialty coffee. We hope you come visit us (furry friends too)."
Pan dulce with a cortado will keep me coming back! |
My favorite coffee so far: Cortado. Among the sweets (they go early) are pan dulce’s, a cross-border pastry delight made to pair with Coffee Drop’s range of hot or cold specialty coffee drinks. Suggest you bring your own mug if you eschew paper cups.
