Mid-century homes made with adobe bricks will be on tour

13th Annual Historic Home Tour
“Modern Mud”
La Mesa Historical Society presents its 13th Annual Home Tour on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018.  Called “Modern Mud” because the tour highlights adobe, classic and mid century jewels in the City of La Mesa.

 This year’s tour homes will showcase design, materials, and craftsmanship of notable local architects and their builders including works from James Bernard, Lawrence Weir, Homer Morehouse, and Ed Heacock. The 2018 tour features two unique Mid-Century Modern Adobes, a beautifully restored 1915 Craftsman, as well as Classic and Mid-Century styles.


Tickets: $40 per person.

If the event does not repeat last year’s sell out tickets will be available at the door on day of event with a $5 price hike.

Parking and Check-In Information:

La Mesa City Parking Lot (Where Farmer’s Market used to be held).
NW Corner of Date & Allison in the City Parking Lot

 Time
Check-In starts at 8:30 am, first shuttle at 9 am

To ensure time to view all homes- we recommend check-in prior to 1 pm

 NO printed tickets will be issued, please bring photo ID

All attendees MUST take provided shuttles

NO photography of home interiors will be permitted

Due to the nature of the tour, it is NOT ADA compliant. Comfortable shoes are recommended as their is a moderate amount of walking
