CHICAGO’S ALINEA SETS THE BAR--For the fourth year in a row, Elite Traveler magazine has rated Chicago’s Alinea (1723 North Halsted Street, 312.867.0110) as the top restaurant on Earth.

The list, which causes culinary industry eye brow to rise is fashioned by Elite Traveler, a very limited circulation magazine aimed at private jet users world-wide.

Details: Alinea was founded in 2005 by Chef Grant Achatz and Nick Kokonas. Featuring a single, seasonally driven tasting menu of between 18 and 22 courses, Alinea has been universally praised for its innovative approach to modernist cuisine.
