Jidori eggs from GoneStraw Farms, Riverside CA |
PillartoPost.org foodies have gleaned a tasty bit of news from impresario Bertrand Hug’s Mr.A’s restaurant newsletter for summer.
Mr. A's Chef
Stephane Voitzwinkler reports the classic Bankers Hill restaurant has a new
source for eggs. It’s always interesting
where culinary professionals egg-splore for their ingredients and food stuffs.
Chef
liked what he saw at GoneStraw Farms, a family owned poultry operation so much
that he’s teamed with the Riverside vendor to supply fresh eggs to the restaurant.
For
eggs-ample, “we appreciate the farm’s progressive and humane practices and the
proof of their good work is quite evident in the superior quality. The
GoneStraw difference is clear our latest seasonal menus, from egg dishes at
brunch to baked goods.”
GoneStraw Farms
Available
chicken and duck eggs (a few quail eggs now too) raw honey and seasonal veggie.
Retail stand is open 9 to 6 daily 13456 El Sobrante Road in Riverside CA.
Mr. A's is located at 2550
Fifth Avenue at Laurel Street.
