“It’s time to reach deep into the soul of this country and once again give everyone — and I mean everyone — the opportunity to achieve the impossible.”
                                                      — Joe Biden

Dear Readers of

Not too long ago, I gave this country my word:

I said I would not be silent. I said that I intended to speak out clearly and forcefully, to influence as much as I could where we stood as a party, and where we needed to go as a nation.

As my father used to say, your word is your bond.

So I wasn't silent in Alabama, where I traveled to help elect U.S. Senator Doug Jones, the son of a steelworker, a man with courage and heart, who knows what's possible for America when you give everyone -- and I mean everyone -- a fair shot. You helped get me there.

And I wasn't silent in Pennsylvania's 18th, where I traveled and stood alongside now-Congressman Conor Lamb, a United States Marine who knows we can't forget that labor and the middle class built this country. Who knows that if you want to get anything worth doing done, you've got to find common ground and work across the aisle. Your support sent me there.

And from now until November and beyond, I'm going to continue to stand up and speak out and help change the face of leadership in this country.

From now until November 6, I'd like to be able to go everywhere there's a fight. But supporting that many races takes resources, and I need your help to get there. And today, I'm respectfully asking for your help.

The kind of leadership -- the kind of America -- that you and I are fighting for is not lost, Thomas. But we've got to fight for it. We've got to show up.

I'm asking you to help me show up for as many promising new leaders as I can.

-Joe Biden
