| HOB Coffee in cozy, comfortable historic North Park |
The historic urban node called North Park is home to a growing collection of craft beer outlets in addition to being San Diego’s best espresso coffee neighborhood.
Lately, more coffee outlets than craft beer operations have been opening in this teeming neighborhood just north of the San Diego Zoo.
For this post we focus on HOB Coffee (Home of Black Coffee) in North Park (ignoring only briefly HOB San Diego area locations in Hillcrest, Sabre Springs and East Village).

HOB North Park popped up on famed 30th Street during the pandemic in a location familiar to other coffee operations. Frankly, its sister locations are more design/stylish, but North Park HOB is fundamentally sound. Good food, great coffee, nice vibes (=) in unflashy but cool North Park.
All HOB locations won’t disappoint when it comes to HOB roasted coffee, pour overs, cold brew, tea to go along with sandwiches, avocado toast, salads, crepes and acai bowls.
