San Diego CityBeat is proud to
announce the 4th annual San Diego CityBeat 5 Minute Film Festival - a showcase
for locally produced short films. This year, the festival will take place SEPT
7 at the beautiful new Music Box venue, located at 1337 India Street, in Little
Italy.
Each year,
approximately 200 San Diego County filmmakers submit independent films that are
not longer than 5 minutes, for consideration. Members of the staff of San Diego
CityBeat choose their favorite films, and the selected films will be screened
on Thursday, September 7 at the festival. Doors will open at 7pm with a short
reception of filmmakers and guests, followed by the screening of the chosen
festival films.
Open
submissions are now being accepted for the 4th annual San Diego CityBeat 5
Minute Film Festival. Submissions will only be accepted until August 1, 2016.

In addition
to the film screenings, a gallery of chosen photos from the 13th annual
CityBeat Photo Contest will be on display at the Music Box, on the night of the
CityBeat 5 Minute Film Festival. Photo contest winners were announced in the
August 17 issue of San Diego CityBeat.
