AMERICANA / BETTING THE HOUSE; ODDS ON TRUMP’S IMPEACHMENT

Law enforcement circles have long said the best way to catch a thief is to follow the money.  Let’s take a look at what bookies say the odds are of the Donald being impeached before the end of his first term.

Popular betting website PredictIt saw its odds of Trump impeachment in the House soar as high as $0.62 against the dollar, implying a 62% chance of impeachment happening.  That was last September.

Now in mid-November 2019 the PredictIt odds have slipped $0.43 yes to $0.57 no on impeachment by end of 2019.

Pundit Mark Murray reports early November polling by NBC News/Wall Street Journal say 49% of Americans support Trump’s impeachment and removal from office.  46% oppose it.

Again, as 2016 proved, the new thinking is to take political polls with a boulder-sized grain of salt, notes Odds at MyBookie.
