THE BREWSPAPER / OUTPOST IN OLD TOWN, PRAGUE

BEER TRAVEL. Go to Restaurace T-anker for the tasty craft brews and stay for the view of Old Town, Prague
The Kotva is an institution among Prague department stores. A remnant of socialist Czechoslovakia, it seems to be doing relatively well, even with the large, trendy Palladium shopping mall standing almost across the street.

But this is not about shopping.  It’s about finding a place to eat in Old Town, Prague, where you can taste a large selection of regional craft beers.  Atop, the department store is the 9-tap T-Anker brewpub.  To get up there you take cranky elevator to the terrace level.  In fair weather you’ll be treated to a terrific view of Old Town, Prague.  If it is winter may we suggest the South of France—vite!

Yes, there are other places of note to eat and drink craft beer, but T-Anker is where you meet the locals to discover the latest openings and inside craft beer news.

Address: Náměstí Republiky 8, Prague 1
Getting there: Metro B to Náměstí Republiky or trams 5, 8, 14, or 26.

T-Anker is atop the socialist era Kotva Department Store.
