DESERT EXPLORER / WILD THINGS SURROUND BORREGO SPRINGS

Wildflowers rule!
One positive for Southern Californians, who spent all Spring dodging raindrops will be our nearby desert areas are now awash with rampant wildflowers.

With all the storms, this year’s bumper crop of brilliant colored blooms should be quite a show.

This upcoming Saturday marks the 21st annual Borrego Desert Garden Tour, which includes seven gardens and two modernist homes.  Proceeds go to the Anza-Borrego Desert Natural History Assn.

Tickets are $30 per to the public and available at the Desert Nature Center, 652 Palm Canyon Drive and/or www.borregoblooms.org.
           
The tour runs from 9 am to 3 pm.

Also available Saturday is a garden tour luncheon at Rams Hill Restaurant for $20 per.   Info: same WWW as above.
