THE BREWSPAPER / RED SOX TURNED BREWER CREATES NO BAD HOPS IPA FOR GIANTS MGR. BRUCE BOCHY

Kevin Youkilis, a retired major leaguer with a World Series ring earned from his playing days with the Boston Red Sox, has turned to owning a craft beer brewery in Los Gatos, California (between SF and San Jose).

He made the news recently by creating a hazy style IPA named in honor of San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy.  The baseball brew is named “Bow to Bochy” and is available at Loma Brewing Company that’s owned by Youkillis and his brother Scott.  No word, however, as to how long it will be on tap.

Loma Brewing, 130 N. Santa Cruz Ave., Los Gatos, CA 95030, self labels itself as a bustling brewpub & sports bar serving housemade pints & elevated American main dishes in an industrial setting.
