GOOD NEWS PAPER / TALENTED SOPRANO SINGS FROM HER FRONT PORCH

Opera soprano Victoria Robertson—with encouragement from her monthly community group—has been performing these past few weeks, a repertoire of arias from her front porch in San Diego’s historic North Park neighborhood. 

Robertson is a veteran performer, recently serenaded her neighbors with “O mio babbino caro” from the opera Gianni Schicchi (1918) by Giacomo Puccini (libretto by Giovacchino Forzano). Energized by her kind reception and a front page article by her neighbor George Vargas, a San Diego Union Tribune reporter, this attractive and talented porch singer plans to perform every Sunday at noon.
