HIGH SCHOOL'S MEDIA DEPT. ADAPTS STATIONS OF THE CROSS PRAYERS INTO VIDEO

First Station.  Jesus is Condemned to Death

(John 3:16, Isaias 53:7, John 18:33-John 19:1-16)

In the spirit of the Lenten season, St. Augustine High School, TV, Film and Digital Media produced a video of The Stations of the Cross prayer featuring Fr. Gary Sanders, O.S.A., Prior Provincial of the Augustinians in the West.

         The video was released in San Diego recently as the Faithful entered the solemn afternoon of Good Friday. 

        “The unimaginable events of these past few weeks because of the Coronavirus has brought us together in many ways despite us being apart physically,” said Fr. Sanders.  “Over the past few weeks while I have been praying more I noticed a very traditional prayer: the 14 Stations of the Cross that is usually said during the Lenten season, has a lot of similarities with the strife and suffering of Jesus to what is going on today because of the pandemic.”

         The Augustinians invite you to pray along with them as the video focuses on the Stations of the Cross, including reflections by Fr. Sanders.
