The San Diego Italian Film Festival marquee’s “The Postcard”
by director Guilio Guerrieri at 7 pm Wednesday, May 6. Free admission and your own popcorn. First released in 2018 this is a film about
dedication and memories. Click here.
After 40 years a postcard showing a red poppy field
landscape is delivered to a bicycle store by error to a young man. The curiosity in knowing something more is
the beginning for a story about loyalty and the value of historical memory. The short film was shot in Milan and touches
on issues concerning the concept of commitment and the fight against
illegality.
“The Postcard” will also teach us about political activist Giuseppe
“Peppino” Impastato, a slain Sicilian journalist.”
The SDIFF is looking for members, sponsors, volunteers, and
donations and there is a job opening (Tinto Brass need not apply). Click here.
