Yes, for better or worse, we’re in the golden era of political cartooning. No one will read a Thomas Hobbes-length political trieste on the state of our crumbling Democracy, but to keep current as best we can, we tune in to professional ‘toonsmith’s like Emily Suzanne Flake, an American cartoonist and illustrator.
Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, Time and many other publications. Flake’s weekly comic strip "Lulu Eightball" has appeared in numerous alternative weeklies since 2002.
She’s damn good at what she does.
