video released
West Coaster, a
three-year-old craft beer centric newspaper and website operation in San Diego
and the Los Angeles basin, today announced the launch of West Coaster Videos, said Mike Shess, publisher and producer. “We are now producing original online video
content about the craft beer industry in San Diego, the LA area and the West on
our YouTube channel,” said Shess.
“Behind the Brew,”
the first video production now online is part of a continuing series showcasing
behind the scenes coverage of the rapidly expanding craft beer industry. The inaugural “Behind the Brew” video travels
to Ballast Point Brewing and Spirits plant in San Diego to discover how master
brewers create Sculpin IPA, one of the hottest selling IPA’s in the world.

“Bringing craft beer features online is a natural
progression of our newspaper and website brand,” said Shess, 27, who with
fellow San Diegan and editor Ryan Lamb founded West Coaster Publishing in 2011.
“We’re on the lookout for ideas so give us a call.”
West Coaster
publishes two beer magazine with each having a supportive website in the San
Diego and Los Angeles basin. West
Coaster Videos will be based in San Diego.
