ARCHIVE / PRE-MARDI GRAS BASH IN NORTH PARK

BLOCK PARTY SUNDAY NIGHT—The first annual Bacchus Night Block Party featuring three well known venues on 30^th Street (between University and North Park Way) is set for March 1 beginning at 5 pm.

Participating are Urban Solace restaurant, True North Tavern and Bar Pink—located in the heart of San Diego’s hottest neighborhood.

There will be Mardi Gras bead throwing and a sidewalk parade around the block.

Bands will be rotating throughout the night in order to catch them all:

     --Euphoria Brass Band at Urban Solace

     --Billy Lee & the Swamp Critters at True North Tavern

     --Zydeco Patrol at Bar Pink

Food is included in the ticket price.

     --Crawfish boil and gumbo fest at Urban Solace

     --BBQ’d oysters at Bar Pink

     --Hush puppies and Hurricanes at True North Tavern

Raffle items all night plus a prize for the best Mardi Gras costume.
