Here are the ingredients for a spirited bring on the holidays street fair:
--Worthy cause: 2015 SONO Chili Fest proceeds go to McKinley
Elementary School
--Great ‘hood: Historic North Park’s just as historic
Altadena neighborhood with the epicenter at 32nd and Thorn Sts.
--Outstanding food: 6th
annual Pro and amateur chili fest.
--Outstanding brews: There will be countless craft beer
offerings and Thorn Street Brewery is located smack in the middle of the event.
--Outstanding coffee house: Santos will be brewing its home
roasted coffees.
--Great organizing committee. Motivated residents of South
and North Park.
--Beautiful weather:
San Diego perfect winter. If it’s
cold more chili; if it’s hot more craft beer.
--Great music: Dozen bands on two stages can’t go wrong.
--Don’t like beer?
Then go to the wine garden.

--Time: 11 am to 5 pm
--Cost: Tastings are
$20 and include a handmade ceramic chili bowl and five tastings. Attendees who
bring their own bowl can save some cash and enjoy the five tastings for $15.
