MEDIA MONDAY / PIZZA BOX PET ADOPTIONS

American politics is at a crossroads.  Come tomorrow the nation will have a better idea of who will be the Democratic Party’s nominee.  Yes, it is dog eat dog at this juncture.

But, enough politics.  Let’s focus on a pizza maker in Amherst New York, who is putting flyers of adoptable dogs on its pizza boxes.

And, as a bonus, Just Pizza & Wing is offering a $50 gift certificate to anyone adopting a dog that’s been featured on its pizza box.

How’s the project working?

Larry loves pizza
Mary Alloy, the franchise owner is working with the Niagara Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to find dogs like six-month old Larry (pictured above) a new home.  Larry was one of the first to be featured on the pizza box and the first to be adopted.

CNN reports other pizza shops like the idea too.  Papa Louie’s Italian Kitchen & Motocross Café in Ohio is launching a similar campaign and gives full credit to Mary Alloy at Just Pizza in Amherst, NY.

Cat lovers let’s get behind this idea.
