URBAN EXPLORER / WALKING TOUR OF SAN DIEGO’S HISTORIC MISSION HILLS NEIGHBORHOOD

Prairie School architecture in Mission Hills.

One of San Diego’s vintage neighborhoods is on tour this coming Saturday.  Participants in the “Mission Hills—Heart and Soul,” the annual Mission Hills Heritage’s yearly walking tour, will see diverse architectural styles of the early 20th century.

The 60 minute guided walking tour will focus on the original subdivision known as “Mission Hills” mapped out by local businessman and developer George W. Marston and his colleagues in 1908.

Where: Begin at 2055 Sunset Blvd in the heart of Mission Hills.
When: Saturday, March 14 between 10 am and 2 pm.  Tours will depart at 10 to 15 minute intervals.

Tickets: $15 Mission Hills Heritage members; $20 non members.
