As part of attracting attendance to
Balboa Park’s summer long After Dark activities organizers have ringed the
centrally located Plaza de Panama (the big square south of Art Museum) with a
tasty collection of Food Trucks. On
Fridays only.
Ten or more
cleverly named cuisine coaches, including the British themed God Save Cuisine,
will roll in every Friday between 4:30 pm and 8:30 pm.
Recent food
truck participants have included Marcel Belgian Waffles; Tabe BBQ; Beachin’
Boa; Pizzapazza; Monster Crafts; Bosnia Grill; Sweet Treats; Two for the Road;
New York on Rye; Super Q; Sushi Uno; Tacos La Mezcila and God Save Cuisine.
The food
truck fest is only a small part of bringing the park alive after five now
through September 2, according to sponsoring groups.
