As neighborhood foodie and craft brew fests
go North Park Main Street has an edge.
They’re good at staging events and next week’s “Taste of North Park”
(Saturday, Oct. 15) is a positive example.
The 8th annual “Taste of North Park” is a
self-guided walking tour, start and end wherever you like. Pick up your Taste
of North Park ticket at one of our two will call ticket distribution locations:
Upas St and 30th, or Ohio St and University Ave. Participants must have tickets
in hand in order to sample and sip. Ticket will call locations open at 10 am on
October 15.
Taste of North Park happens 11 am to 3 pm and is
conveniently located in the heart of North Park’s historic, eclectic, charming
commercial district. Centered around the intersection of 30th Street and
University Avenue, the event can be accessed from both the 805 Freeway
(University Avenue/North Park Way Exit), the 163 Freeway (Exit University Ave,
and head east about 3 miles), or by surface streets.
Just north of Balboa Park, the event site makes for an ideal
weekend adventure, full of art, culture, shopping, and culinary treats. Parking
is available in the North Park Parking Garage at 29th St and North Park Way, or
