Trip Advisor's 2017 Best Restaurant in the World.  Here are the owners of the Black Swan Restaurant in Oldstead, UK.  Parents Tom, Anne, Tommy (chef) and James Banks.
Trip Advisor, an online travel blog conducted Travelers’ Choice Awards for Best Restaurant 2017.  And, everyone was surprised.

The Black Swan at Oldstead, a quaint, family-run pub in North Yorkshire, United Kingdom, was named the world’s top-rated restaurant, according to Trip Advisor diners.

Owned by brothers Tommy and James Banks (and families), The Black Swan marks the first UK restaurant to hit the top spot since the Trip Advisor poll began in 2012. reports the Banks’ triumph signals the end of La Sarte Restaurant’s two-year reign atop the poll.  The 3-star Michelin restaurant in Barcelona fell to fifth place.

Tommy Banks, 28, was the youngest Brit chef to win a Michelin Star four years ago.

Each room has a small terrace with seats overlooking our kitchen garden. Just across the road; a mere 50m away from The Black Swan, there are 4 more rooms in The Villa; a newly renovated Georgian house with period features and a charming English country garden. Awarded AA 5 Stars, Gold Award and Breakfast Award. All rates are inclusive of dinner for two from our tasting menu and breakfast too.
