GUEST BLOG / @tomgable—PillartoPost.org wine buff
has located a remarkable wine at a fair price that goes well with early Fall
BBQ’s and burgers and/or pizza.
His
latest find is from Australia, a 2016 Kangarilla Road Shiraz McLaren Vale at
about $20 (near Adelaide). “This Aussie
Shiraz offers a dull mid-dark garnet with peppery, manzanita, and a ripe grape
nose. It is definitely fat, grapey; a
bit one-dimensional with a long hot (14.5 alc) chewy finish,” says Gable.
Shiraz
is a full-bodied red wine is a popular planting in the Rhone Valley, France and
in Australia.
As
we mentioned in an earlier post, wines like these at fair prices and excellent
taste seldom last long in wine shops.
