THE FOODIST / AVLI: A CULINARY BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY

One of this blog’s favorite feature genres happens to be articles that seamlessly combine travel with cuisine. The Internet is filled with that kind of coverage. Most not as well done as the following.

At PillartoPost.org daily online magazine we have a favorite source for remarkable travel and food sagas and it is called CulinaryBackstreets.com.

In its post for November 5, CB posted a wonderful article by Carolina Doriti titled “Avli: Shelter from the Exarchia Storm.” It is a story of a restaurant, its ownership, and the eclectic neighborhood it is located in. Its bohemian style and location in the urban heart of Athens make for fast-paced reading. A successful dining or travel story should make you want to there NOW.  Judge for yourselves: Click here for the entire article and photographs (by Manteau Stam). Avli Gefsipolion Restaurant Methonis 43, Exarchia Athens, Greece.
