WITH FOOD NEXT TO HEAVEN--Airbräu Brauhaus (Munich Airport) claims to be Europe's only airport restaurant to have an on-site brewery.

The beer is brewed in accordance with the Purity Decree of 1513, using local hops from the Hallertau region.

The cuisine is mainly Bavarian serving items like roast duck, pig knuckle and cold cured meats.

Airbräu Brauhaus, Terminalstr. Mitte 18 Level 3, Terminal 1, Munich Airport Center, 85356; phone: +49 89 9759 3111

Check with the bartender for a tour of the brewery.

In the meantime ask him for a Jetstream  brew to go with the brats and sourkraut.
You can always catch the next flight.
