Still life from David Hartig’s La Jolla Shores series on exhibit at The Studio Door gallery in North Park, May 21-29 |
David Hartig, one of
San Diego’s leading commercial and artistic photographers is showing a
collection of his work in a group exhibition in North Park at The Studio Door
gallery, 3750 30th Street.
Hartig’s
images (part of his La Jolla Shores series) will be on exhibit May 21 thru May
29 as part of the North Park Festival of Arts.
The showing marks the first time The Studio Door will be holding an all
photography show, according to Patric Stillman, Studio Door director.
“Being
a San Diego native has sparked and nutured a life-long love affair with the
ocean and its beaches,” said Hartig.
David’s
previous showing was his first solo exhibition, held in January at the
University Club, downtown. It was by no
means first work seen in San Diego, as for more than a decade, he has been a
top commercial and magazine pro appearing in most of the leading publications
in the Southwest.
“David
simply gets the job done. I’ve enjoyed working with him on numerous projects.
He is easy going and dependable. I can’t
wait to see his work in North Park,” said Tom Shess, retired creative director
at San Diego Home Garden Lifestyles magazine and co-founder of North Park News.
Other
photographers in the group exhibition include Jeff Caffarel, Patrick McMahon,
Robert Pendleton, Ana Phelps and Patric Stillman.
