New York Times writers Michael Forsythe, Gaia Pianigiani and David Kirkpatrick this week reported on the Italian government’s investigation to learn if Russian strongman Vladimir Putin is the real owner of the 459-foot superyacht “Scheherazade.”
Denials are flying from the poop deck, but it won’t be long before the Italians ID the mystery owner of the mystery yacht currently docked in Marina di Carrara, an Italian port along the Tuscany coast.
Our money is the German built yacht does belong to Putin. The photos on this page, which appeared in the Times coverage, show pretty much the spot where Putin is standing happens to be on the Scheherazade’s fantail.
