COFFEE BEANS, BEINGS & BOOKS / BOOK TALK & COFFEE AT THE CATAPULT

Something's always happening at The Book Catapult

There’s a book club in the neighborhood focused on discussing what is hot in contemporary literature.  Meeting monthly, the next session is Aug. 19 (tomorrow) at 11:30 am at The Book Catapult at Juniper and 30th Streets on the East side of San Diego’s Balboa Park.

The book to be discussed at this month’s meeting is “The Incendiaries, A Novel,” by R.O. Kwon.

Discoverability is what The Book Catapult book store is all about – they help those stopping by to find those great reads that you might not find shopping a big box store or while at the mercy of a large website's algorithm.

In the spirit of that discoverability, every third Sunday of each month The Book Catapult hosts Coffee with the Catapult - an informal discussion about what's new in the world of lit, lead by our book buyer & co-owner, Seth along with our bookseller Vanessa. We discuss new titles we think will surprise you, books our staff has loved, reads that you won't find in most places.

Plus complimentary coffee from nearby coffee neighbors at Communal Coffee and a 20% discount off all books discussed for those in attendance.

NEXT MEETING
The next gathering of the Catapult Book Club will be on Thursday, September 13 at 7 pm.  Book to be discussed is the recent Pulizer Prize finalist “In the Distance,” by Hernan Diaz.
