BALLAST POINT BEER SUPPORTS MARITIME MUSEUM

PARTY TIME--For some, an 18th birthday marks a right of passage into adulthood. Ballast Point turns 18 this year, so does that make them a “grown-up” brewery?  Why not? We’re all older, maybe we’re a little wiser, and we’re definitely looking to have fun.

Ballast Point is celebrating its 18th anniversary with a killer beer fest party on some boats belonging to San Diego’s Maritime Museum.

After a successful party last year, BP management is bringing its Anniversary Party back to the Maritime Museum of San Diego on Sunday, July 13.  This is a beer festival in an un-paralleled setting...what better way to enjoy some beers than aboard historic ships and submarines while taking in the waterside scenery.

Attendees will be able to walk aboard each of the vessels and sample beers at different locations throughout the museum.

Same story: tour some historic vessels, listen to some great live music, and sample from more than 50 rare and limited Ballast Point Beers.  And for 2014, we’ll have more fine spirits to sample as well.  Food for purchase from local vendors.

Not only will it be a great afternoon of friends, beer, and great music, but all of the proceeds will go to the Maritime Museum of San Diego to help preserve the museum’s beautiful ships and launch their latest one, the San Salvador.

Tickets are $40 and include 15 3-oz tasters, a special edition glass, and the chance to tour all of the ships of the Maritime Museum.
