ARCHIVE / VINTAGE CAR SHOW IN NORTH PARK/Saturday
FREE EVENT--A wide range of sponsors are behind this year’s North Park Car Show, which is set for Saturday, September 8 between 10 am and 2 pm. The free event will be held in the parking lot adjacent to the Balboa Tennis Club. Vintage cars from all makes, models and eras will be displayed.
Main sponsors are the North Park Historical Society and the tennis club. Other supporting backers include North Park News, Mike Ward photography, Babycakes, True North Tavern, Ron Oster, realtor, Ascent Real Estate, A7D Creative Group, North Park Trophy, Broker Bill, Caddi 57 and Friends of the North Park Historical Society.
Prizes will be handed out for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and people’s choice winners.
The annual event promises a parking lot full of old classics.
The poster photo featuring a Mid-Century Chevy also includes a shot of the old Pep Boys auto parts store that once stood at the northeast corner of 32nd & University, where Starbucks and Walgren’s are now located.
